Jeanne
Hogarth is
the manager for the Consumer Education and Research Section
of the Division of Consumer and Community Affairs at the
Federal Reserve Board.
Prior to joining the Board in 1995, her previous experience
includes 7 years of high school teaching in Ohio, a year on
the Extension faculty at the University of Illinois, and 13
years on the consumer economics faculty at Cornell
University. During her tenure at Cornell, she was
responsible for community education programs related to
family financial management and consumer economics through
Cornell Cooperative Extension.
At the Federal Reserve Board, she is responsible for
research and outreach initiatives related to consumer
financial services. Her recent projects include initiatives
on consumers’ use of banking services, consumer protection
strategies, the effictiveness of financial education
efforts, and consumer testing for comprehension and
usability of disclosure notices. Jeanne is responsible for
the Board’s consumer information materials on financial
services, both on the web and in print. She is the author
of numerous scholarly research articles as well as consumer
education resources on financial management. Both her
research and her consumer education programs have received
awards for their excellence.
Jeanne received a BS in education from Bowling Green State
University and an MS and PhD in family and consumer
economics from The Ohio State University.

Deborah Lindberg Gertsen is senior vice president, Trust
and Investments, for Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust Company.
She has more than 30 years of financial experience in the
investment and trust fields. A graduate of Coe College, Deb
is a Certified Public Account, a licensed insurance agent,
and her investment licenses include Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 63
and 66.
Deb is active in professional organizations, including the
Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants (ISCPA),
Hawkeye Chapter of ISCPA, and the Cedar Rapids Area Estate
Planning Council. She is also a trustee for Horizons, A
Family Service Alliance as well as chair for The Meth-Wich
Community, a member of the Cedar Rapids Downtown Rotary,
and member of the Coe College Student Investment Advisory
Board.
Madeline Windauer is director
of tax for the RSM McGladrey office in Iowa City. She has
significant experience with tax planning and tax
projections, with an emphasis on retirement and benefit
plans, She manages the tax return preparation process for a
significant number of plans in McGladrey's Central Plains
economic unit. Before her current position, Madeline was a
financial consultant focusing on financial projection and
business valuation for McGladrey clients.
Prior to joining the McGladrey firm, Madeline held
positions in the education, manufacturing and service
sectors, and in management information systems, financial
analysis, budgeting and forecasting. She is a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well
as the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, where
she has severed on the taxation committee and is a
contributing author to ISCPAs Tickmarks publication. Madeline is on the Board of
Directors for Mercy Hospital of Iowa City Foundation, Iowa
City Area Development Group, and the Preucil School of
Music.
Craig Goettsch

Craig Goettsch is
Director of Investor Education and Consumer
Outreach/Securities Counsel for the Iowa Insurance
Division. He began his work for the Securities Division in
1975 as a securities examiner.
A native of Davenport, Goettsch received his law degree,
with distinction, from the University of Iowa Law School
and is a member of the Polk County and Iowa Bar
Associations. Goettsch has served as President of the North
American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), has
served on several committees, served on the Board of
Directors, and currently chairs NASAA's Uniform Securities
Act Project Group and Corporate governance Project Group.
He has served on several task forces of state securities
regulators to negotiate multi-state settlements, as an
adjunct professor teaching securities law at both Drake and
Iowa law schools, and as secretary for the Iowa JumpStart
Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. Goettsch is a
founder and trustee of the Investor Protection Trust, a
public charity dedicated to investor
education.
